Karijini National Park

Travel through the picturesque Hamersley Range to the entrance of the Karijini National Park. You will be mesmerised by its ancient land formations as we explore the the Weano, Joffre and Dales Gorge areas including Oxer Lookout, a towering but safe cliff face overlooking the junction of Weano, Joffre, Hancock and Red gorges. Visit the renowned Karijini Visitors Interpretive Centre which tells the stories of aboriginal culture and heritage, pastoral and mining histories, geology, fauna and flora. Tour highlights include: Swimming opportunities at the spectacular Handrail and Fern Pools and Fortescue Falls. Morning tea and lunch is provided on this tour.

The Pilbara is the oldest known landscape on Earth, estimated to be more than 2.5 billion years old. There is no better place to witness this than at Karijini National Park. Karijini has spectacular 100 metre sheer-sided ochre coloured chasms. Hidden amongst this ruggedness are crystal clear rock pools, cascading waterfalls and tropical fern environments each offering easy walking tracks or viewing platform access.

Do I need to be fit to attend this tour?

People of all ages and fitness levels have completed our tours in the past so this is up to each individual. Please note that some of the staircases are made of uneven natural rocks that vary in height and width with no handrail for support. Walking sticks may assist you on tour.
Is there a toilet and change room facilities within Karijini National Park?

Yes, at the top of most gorges there are enclosed toilets. There are also flushing toilets and hand basins at the Karijini Visitor Centre.
Can I fly my drone over the Gorge?

Unfortunately drones can not be flown within Karijini National Park without prior written permission from the rangers.
Is there any phone reception?

Phone reception within the National Park is limited, however depending on your provider you will have reception at the Visitor Centre. There is also a Telstra Phone box located at the Visitor Centre that can be used to make free call.
